VHC WEBSITE CHANGES & UPDATES
August 8, 2005: Rearranged the menu to add a new section: CONFERENCES & CONVENTIONS which is a listing of upcoming conferences and conventions listed in order of their occurrence. Note that conferences and conventions will also be listed on the MEMO page and shown on the VHC CALENDAR OF EVENTS. DEALS & DISCOUNTS was moved to near the end of the menu. April 6, 2005: Altered VHC CALENDAR OF EVENTS to include links to the timely memos so that users could see memos on the calendar at a glance and click for details. February 28, 2005: Altered the MAIN MENU and TIMELY MEMOs sidebar so that the user can re-size them at will. If you are unhappy with the size of either of these two regions, simply click and hold on the black border and pull/push it to make it larger or smaller. February 27, 2005: Deleted drop-down menu and substituted simple links organized in a table. Made the TIMELY MEMOS sidebar a part of the web site border so that it stays with the user as they explore the site. September 14, 2004: Added new feature to menu. The VHC LOCAL CO-OP CONNECTOR will help new homeschoolers find a suitable co-op in their area. VHC users simply input their most basic information. Usually within 24-hours of being submitted, that info will be posted on the CONNECTOR page, as well as on the VHC HOME PAGE This way, co-op members in your area can easily spot you and contact you via the e-mail address that you've left us. August 3, 2004: Rearranged main drop-down menu to make it easier to navigate. Altered the format of the VHC FREE CLASSIFIEDS for similar reasons and added a new category: HOMESCHOOLING ENTREPRENEURS where homeschoolers can advertise their business interests. Also made the advertising submission form easier to use. July 21, 2004: Removed the "KID'S PAGE" due to lack of user interest and replaced it with the PHOTO ALBUM feature. Check out the new photos from the recent Homeschooler's Day at Whiffen Spit Beach and the Track & Field Day. Also changed the format in the BUY, SELL & SEEK area so that it is more compact and easier to read. February 25, 2004: A new feature was added to the VHS drop down menu... TIMELY MEMOS in which are posted any time-sensitive reminders, deadlines, pending events, classes or proposed field trips. Look here to find events that might be of interest to you, Sign up for a field trip or class. The direct links to those events are also listed on the homepage in the sidebar. You can just click on events of interest. This will take you directly to the details listed in the TIMELY MEMOS page. Please note, however, that if you jump to the TIMELY MEMOS page from the side bar links, you might have to choose some other option from the main menu before you are able to choose the HOMEPAGE option again. It's just a small technical glitch that we are aware of, but, as yet, have no solution for, though you can always use your BACK button at the top of your browser. February 10, 2004: Major revisions have been made to the VHC CALENDAR OF EVENTS as per user requests. Submit your events and lets test this puppy out! (Please note that all contributions are monitored, may be edited, and will be filed according to the VHC cataloging system.)
