WANTED: Homeschooling families to homestay Korean children
Local homeschooling families have the opportunity to host Korean children for a 4-12 week
homestay with the purpose of including them in homeschooling and giving them English instruction.
This is a great chance for your family to learn about a culture very different from our own,
not to mention a chance to have a lasting impact on the children who come to stay with you.
Korean parents are specifically looking for homeschooling families to host their children because
of the reputation of homeschoolers for being trustworthy and committed to excellence.
The Korean students would be between 9 and 15 years of age, and possess at least a basic level of English.
Your family can host one child at a time. Besides English lessons and keeping a record of their schooling,
families are also expected to take the student on outings to places such as the zoo, a museum, or other activities at least once a week.
The payment will be $1,100 (Canadian) for one student for 4 weeks and will be $250 for an additional week.
Korean students will be coming two times a year... in December/January and July/August.
